NorthStar Bets is for adults aged 19 or over who are physically in Ontario. Outside the province you cannot use it. Gambling here is paid entertainment, and the house keeps an edge on every game, so only stake money you can afford to lose.
We did not run a deposit and cash-out cycle for this write-up. What follows comes from reading the site's own pages, its promotion list and its regulatory footer, plus outside reports where we say so.
A regulated Ontario brand, and it says so
The footer states that the site is authorised, licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario under registration number OPIG1226485. That is the first thing to check at any Ontario casino, and it is easy to find here. A 2022 report on the registration names Michael Moskowitz as chief executive, with former Bell Media broadcaster Rod Black as brand ambassador.
The slots page calls the site "a proudly Canadian-owned brand". The help line it prints is ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600, and the footer also links a customer complaints process.
The lead picture shows the casino lobby: a Blackjack Championship banner, the first-deposit match tile and rows labelled "NorthStar Picks" and "Ontario Favourites". It is a tidy, dark layout that puts promotions ahead of the games, which tells you where the marketing budget goes.
One structural point is worth knowing. The static landing page redirects straight into the app, and most of the useful text, such as game counts and promotion rules, only appears after the app has loaded. That makes the site harder to read with a screen reader or a slow connection than a plain page would be.
The welcome match, and what we could not confirm
The promotions page lists the casino welcome offer in one line: deposit $20 or more and the first deposit is matched 100%, up to $1,000. The sportsbook side has its own offer, a bonus bet of up to $100 if your first qualifying bet loses.

The page does not show the playthrough. A third-party review reports 10x the deposit within 30 days, with slots at 100% and blackjack at 10%, but we could not confirm those numbers on the operator's page, so read the "More info" terms before you opt in. If blackjack is your game, a bonus that barely counts your hands is a poor deal, and you may be better off playing with your own money.
